In celebration of the event, Arquitectonica\u2019s Principal Bernardo Fort-Brescia was joined by John Catsimatidis Sr., owner of Red Apple Group and St. Petersburg\u2019s Mayor, Rick Kriseman to formally kick-off construction.<\/p>\n<p>When completed, 400 Central will become the tallest building in St. Petersburg. The 1,280,000 SF mixed-use building sits on a 2.3-acre site and takes up a full city block. Strategically located between the tourist-oriented waterfront district and the St. Petersburg Arts District the development has the opportunity to serve as a unique connection between both vibrant communities.<\/p>\n<p>The mixed-use project contains a 45-story, 720,380 SF, 322-unit residential tower angled on the site in order to take advantage of views of both Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. A series of penthouses are situated on the upper levels. A 14,000 SF first-class amenity package includes an expansive landscaped sundeck with a pool, outdoor kitchen, dining space, bocce court, putting green, a fitness center a spa and a lounge.<\/p>\n<p>The tower sit on top of a five-level, 318,500 SF parking podium containing 842 parking spaces. There is 58,000 SF of retail and restaurants line the ground floor.
